Dragon/Lung: A Global AR Experience Dragon/Lung is an immersive augmented reality (AR) experience inspired by the 2024 Lunar Year of the Dragon. By blending Taiwanese culture with cutting-edge technology, we aim to create a global phenomenon that bridges communities. Core Components Location-Based AR (Oct. 2024): Encounter a majestic AR dragon at iconic Taiwanese landmarks, starting with Lungshan Temple. Explore dragon-themed destinations across the island. Target-Tracking AR (Oct. 2024): Bring the dragon to life by scanning dragon-themed artwork on everyday items. Interactive MR (in 2025): Engage with a dynamic AR dragon through a VR headset, using hand gestures and commands to explore Taiwanese culture. Open-Source Vision We envision Dragon/Lung as an open-source project, enabling creators worldwide to adapt the experience for their communities. By sharing our tools and resources, we aim to foster a global network of dragon enthusiasts connected by a shared digital horizon.
