Detective Deduction is an immersive performance blending exhibition and theater. It transforms the theater's structure and machinery into a labyrinth of rooms inhabited by fictional detectives and related characters, each space reflecting its owner's worldview and life through diverse media.
Combining audiovisuals, installations, custom-built devices, and traditional stage machinery, the project extended the concept of theater as a complex, performance machine. Audiences enter via a freight platform from B2, becoming immersed in evolving scenes guided by sound, light, and mechanical movements. These shifting environments fold time and space, weaving echoed layered narratives through media, forms, and textures.
Rather than solving a mystery, the audience becomes self-detectives—wandering through a dreamlike, subconscious world. The experience evokes visceral sensations, fragmented memories, and private interpretations, resonating with the gaps and dissonances of everyday life
