In the final years of World War II, the Allies had secured naval and air superiority in the Pacific and sought to bring the war to a swift end through an island-hopping strategy. Because of Japan’s southward expansion policy, Kaohsiung was developed into a major strategic base, filled with factories and military industries. This also made the city a primary target for U.S. air raids. Historical records show that Kaohsiung received the heaviest bombing in Taiwan during the war. Raid on Takao is a scenario-driven cooperative game for multiple players. You take on the roles of ordinary people forced to make difficult choices between personal bonds and the brutal realities of war. Together, you must face devastation, struggle to survive, and rescue others who—like you—have been caught in the conflict.
