TO HELL WITH ME is a free-roam multiplayer immersive VR experience that blends Taiwanese folk beliefs with science fiction. Drawing from cultural interpretations of hell in Taiwan, the work delves into themes of sin, punishment, and redemption. Experienced from a first-person perspective, participants inhabit the role of modern souls who have inadvertently descended into the underworld. Through the integration of free-roam VR and interactive storytelling, the experience allows multiple participants to physically navigate a shared space, encountering the narrative together in real time. By merging Taiwanese religious imagination with speculative fiction, the work offers international audiences a visceral and culturally distinctive vision of hell.
