Inspired by a true story, PAGUI comprises historic background, religious culture and folk culture unique to Taiwan; from the recreation of historic architecture to religious practices, and from folk lore to supernatural culture, in a beautiful and immersive 3D atmospheric environment, where you will explore the eerie haunted village, sneak past power spirits, learn skills to fight off ghosts, and dig up the secrets about your own story as well as to uncover the buried history of the haunted village. The story is set early in Taiwan’s modern history and adapted from real-life stories. Taiwanese humanistic spirit, history, and culture are the foci of the game. Textual research included early Taiwan architecture and religious troupes, which is reflected in the appearance and tone of game characters. Players can experience Taiwan-specific style and features.
