The Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) announced the recipients of the 2022 Immersive Content Grant for International Co-Funding or Co-Productions. Among 24 applications from Taiwan, Australia, France, the UK, and the USA, five were selected as recipients by seven international juries. The recipients will each receive NT $2.8 million or 3.5 million in production grants and are expected to complete their projects within one year.
The five selected works include “The Guardians of the Jade Mountain” by Volos Films Ltd. (Taiwan), “FRAMERATE: Taiwan” by ScanLAB Projects (UK),” Somewhere Unknown in Indochina” by MIMEO FILMS Ltd. (Taiwan), “COLORED” by Flash Forward Entertainment (Taiwan), “Encounters” by Serendipity Films (Taiwan).

TAICCA started the Immersive Content Grant in 2020. TAICCA supports the co-funding or co-production of future content projects-the immersive experiences in order to encourage the relevant stakeholders to discover the creativity and energy of technology innovation in Taiwan and explore new mediums and new forms of storytelling for immersive content. In the past few years, Taiwanese XR and immersive content have been delivering outstanding performances on the global stage, recognized by international juries and festivals.
TAICCA will continue to encourage multinational XR content development in Taiwan, and serve as a platform for international and cross-industry future content collaborations.
